I did this for EA's Earth and Beyond and it never got used so I'm posting it here. It was a huge Image with a whole bunch of 2D and 3D techniques on a imense stack of layers for editing. IN the end they only used the spaceship up front without the cool lighting effects and a screenshot of an in-game character for the background.
